At NeuroBloom Counseling, we do not accept insurance. This decision allows us to provide more personalized, flexible, and confidential care without the limitations often imposed by insurance companies—such as restricted session types, limited number of visits, or mandated diagnoses. By working outside of insurance, we prioritize your privacy and tailor therapy fully to your unique needs rather than billing requirements.
To help with out-of-pocket costs, we can gladly provide a superbill for sessions that you can submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement, depending on your plan.
We also offer resources and guidance to support clients navigating self-pay, including sliding scale options and referrals to community programs.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have questions about fees or payment support—we’re here to help you access care that fits your life.

A superbill is a detailed receipt that clients can submit to their insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement. While we do not bill insurance directly, a superbill provides the information many insurance plans require to consider reimbursement for therapy services.
A superbill typically includes the provider’s information, dates of service, type of service provided, diagnosis and procedure codes, and the amount paid. Reimbursement is not guaranteed and depends on your specific insurance plan, benefits, and out-of-network coverage.
Clients are responsible for contacting their insurance company to confirm eligibility and submitting the superbill for reimbursement. Any reimbursement is paid directly to the client, not to the provider.
If you would like a superbill, please let us know and one can be provided upon request.

Our standard fee for a 60-minute session is $200. This fee reflects the personalized, neurodivergent-affirming care we provide. Shorter sessions are also offered including 45-minute sessions at $175 and 30-minute sessions at $150.
Because we do not accept insurance, payment is expected at the time of service. We strive to be transparent and fair about our fees and are happy to discuss payment plans or sliding scale options for those who qualify.
If you plan to submit a superbill to your insurance for reimbursement, we can provide that upon request.
Please contact us if you have any questions about fees or payment arrangements—we want to make therapy accessible for you.

Currently, NeuroBloom Counseling specializes in telehealth services only. We find that virtual sessions provide greater flexibility, accessibility, and comfort for many of our neurodivergent clients, allowing you to receive care from the safety of your own space.
If you have questions about telehealth or need support setting up your first session online, we’re happy to guide you through the process.

Telehealth therapy offers the convenience of receiving quality mental health care from wherever you feel safest and most comfortable—whether that’s your home, a quiet office, or anywhere with a stable internet connection. This flexibility eliminates commute times, reduces scheduling barriers, and makes it easier to fit therapy into busy or unpredictable days.
For many neurodivergent clients, telehealth provides a less sensory-overwhelming and more controlled environment, helping reduce anxiety and increase focus during sessions. It also broadens access to specialized care for people living in rural areas or places with limited mental health resources.
Overall, telehealth allows us to connect with you in a way that respects your needs, boundaries, and lifestyle—making therapy more accessible and personalized than ever.
-
Telehealth therapy sessions are conducted securely through a HIPAA-compliant video platform, allowing us to meet face-to-face virtually using your computer, tablet, or smartphone. Before your first session, you’ll receive instructions and a secure link to join the appointment from wherever you feel most comfortable.
Sessions are typically the same length as in-person therapy and follow a similar format, including check-ins, goal-setting, and therapeutic work tailored to your needs.
You’ll need a private, quiet space with a reliable internet connection to ensure confidentiality and the best experience possible. If you need assistance with technology or have questions before your first session, we’re here to help.

You are absolutely still welcome here! While NeuroBloom Counseling specializes in neurodivergent-affirming care, we warmly welcome clients of all neurotypes. Whether you are neurodivergent or neurotypical, our goal is to provide compassionate, individualized therapy that honors your unique experience, identity, and needs.
Everyone deserves a space where they feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow — and we’re here to walk alongside you on your journey.

To respect our therapists’ time and maintain availability for all clients, we require at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. If you cancel or reschedule with less than 24 hours’ notice, or if you miss an appointment without notifying us, you will be charged the full session fee.
We understand that emergencies happen—if that’s the case, please let us know as soon as possible so we can discuss accommodations. Emergencies are limited to unforeseen, serious events such as medical emergencies, accidents, or hospitalization and do not include work conflicts or scheduling oversights.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in helping us provide timely care for everyone.

A Good Faith Estimate is an estimate of the expected costs for mental health services provided to clients who are not using insurance or who choose to self-pay. Federal law (the No Surprises Act) requires health care providers to give clients an estimate of fees for services before care begins upon request by the client.
Your Good Faith Estimate will outline the anticipated costs of therapy services based on the type and frequency of sessions discussed at the start of care. Please note that this is not a contract and actual costs may vary depending on your needs, session length, or changes to your treatment plan.
You have the right to request a Good Faith Estimate at any time, including before scheduling services or during treatment. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you may have the right to dispute the charges.
If you have questions or would like to request a Good Faith Estimate, please contact our practice.

Each therapy session at NeuroBloom Counseling is a safe, supportive space designed around your unique needs and goals. Sessions typically last 50-60 minutes and can include:
Checking in about how you’ve been feeling since your last appointment
Discussing any challenges, questions, or successes you’d like to explore
Collaboratively setting goals and developing personalized strategies
Practicing therapeutic skills such as mindfulness, cognitive reframing, or emotion regulation
Processing emotions, experiences, and insights at your own pace
Your therapist will guide the session with warmth, respect, and flexibility, allowing space for whatever feels most important to you that day. Over time, you’ll build tools and understanding to support your mental health and well-being in daily life.
Remember, therapy is a partnership — you are the expert on your experience, and we are here to support and empower you.

Currently NeuroBloom is run and operated by Stephens; however, she doesn’t work completely alone. She has a very cute and furry office assistant named Oaklie who loves to nap close by and say hi during sessions when welcomed. Meet Oaklie below! :)
